The band, called Follower (at the time), wanted something gritty. Something which showed they weren't afraid to start from the bottom, get their hands dirty and work their way up. They also wanted to satirize and mock the name a bit, showing that they weren't afraid to go against the herd, so to speak. After a quick brainstorm session, we decided to play on the idea of plurals. Using "schools of fish" as our inspiration, we grabbed some rotting fish heads from Chinatown and went to town. Walk past the screen and a parade of visual elements follows behind you. Each one represents a project, person, or event corresponding to a specific year in the company timeline. The landscape evolves gradually to reflect each year with new environments and animations. Originally, Big Bang was meant to be a stop-motion piece. It grew into an interactive installation, blending tangible animation with a variety of other styles including 3D and illustration.
